James L. Fields

Sound recordist and sound supervisor who entered American film with RKO-Pathé's SUNDOWN TRAIL (1931). Other credits at this time include THE SILVER CORD and ACE OF ACES (both 1933), STINGAREE (1934) and directing sound for the 1942 re-release of THE GOLD RUSH. After World War II, Fields settled in Mexico and spent the rest of his career there, recording and directing sound in over 200 Mexican films until his last credit LOS DESARRAIGADOS (1976).
