Born in New York City. Composer (I DON'T WANT TO SET THE WORLD ON FIRE, 1941; ABROAD WITH TWO YANKS and GOIN' TO TOWN, both 1944), conductor and musical director in films from 1939. Notable credits include THE MAN IN THE IRON MASK and EVERYTHING'S ON ICE (both 1939), LI'L ABNER (1940), INTERNATIOAL LADY (1941), FRIENDLY ENEMIES (1942), SO THIS IS WASHINGTON (1943), GOIN' TO TOWN (1944), STRANGE VOYAGE and THE RETURN OF MONTE CRISTO (both 1946), HIGH CONQUEST (1947), 16 FATHOMS DEEP (1948), MASSACRE RIVER (1949), THE BOY FROM INDIANA (1950), and NEW MEXICO (1951). In 1949, Gluskin began working in television and was musical director or conductor for "The Ed Wynn Show", "The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show", "Earn Your Vacation", "The Johnny Carson Show", "Navy Log", "Gunsmoke", "Have Gun - Will Travel", "Perry Mason" and "The Twilight Zone."
