Born in Cleveland, OH. Composer and lyricist whose songs were first used in STAGE DOOR ("Put Your Heart Into Your Feet and Dance", 1937). Usually contributing the lyric, Greene's songs were used in 23 other films. Some of his other memorable songs include "Sleepy Serenade", "Wherever You Go", "Hands Across the Border", and "Sioux City Sue". He also wrote and composed for television.
