Richard Irvine

Born in Salt Lake City, UT. Art director who entered American film as an associate at Wanger for ETERNALLY YOURS (1939). Other notable associate credits include SLIGHTLY HONORABLE (1940), VICTORY THROUGH AIR POWER (1943), and GUEST IN THE HOUSE (1944).

Irvine's art direction credits, alone or in collaboration, include WINTER CARNIVAL (1939), THE HOUSE ACROSS THE BAY (1940), several "Ellery Queen" features in 1942), NO PLACE FOR A LADY (1943), THE THREE CABALLEROS (1944), THE SPIDER (1945), BEHIND GREEN LIGHTS (1946), THE BRASHER DOUBLOON and MIRACLE ON 34TH STREET (both 1947), APARTMENT FOR PEGGY (1948), MR. BELVEDERE GOES TO COLLEGE (1949), THE GUNFIGHTER (1950), FOLLOW THE SUN, THE SECRET OF CONVICT LAKE and ELOPEMENT (all 1951), DON'T BOTHER TO KNOCK and O. HENRY'S FULL HOUSE (uncredited) (both 1952), and THE I DON'T CARE GIRL, TAXI and VICKI (all 1953).
