Sound recordist for over 80 films who entered American film in 1929 with Fox Films' MARRIED IN HOLLYWOOD. His career stretched over the next 28 years and included such notable films as ME AND MY GAL (1932), HEIDI (1937), LITTLE MISS BROADWAY and SUEZ (both 1938), THE THREE MUSKETEERS (1939), THE GRAPES OF WRATH (1940), THE BLACK SWAN (1942), THE GANG'S ALL HERE (1943), THE SULLIVANS and THE FIGHTING LADY (both 1944), THE FOXES OF HARROW (1947), YOU WERE MEANT FOR ME and SITTING PRETTY (both 1948), I WAS A MALE WAR BRIDE (1949), THE HOUSE ON TELEGRAPH HILL (1951), and his last film, FUNNY FACE (1957).
