Born in Los Angeles, CA. Art director (sometimes uncredited) who entered American film in 1920 with OCCASIONALLY YOURS and THE LITTLE 'FRAID LADY at Robertson-Cole. His credits resurface in 1931 with FIGHTING CARAVANS at Paramount. Other notable credits, alone or in collaboration, include RUGGLES OF RED GAP (1935), HOLD 'EM NAVY (1937), several of Paramount's "Bulldog Drummond" films (1937-38), MEN WITH WINGS (1938), BEAU GESTE (1939), and ROAD TO SINGAPORE, MYSTERY SEA RAIDER and his last film, A NIGHT AT EARL CARROLL'S (all 1940).
