Musical director and sometime composer who entered American film directing music for Laurel & Hardy's THE FLYING DEUCES (1939) for RKO. He was musical director for Paramount's "Unusual Occupations", "Speaking of Animals" and "Popular Science" series of shorts from 1940 to 1949. Other film credits include musical direction for MISS ANNIE ROONEY (1942), and UP IN MABEL'S ROOM, THE HAIRY APE and I'M FROM ARKANSAS (all 1944), as well as these other short subjects: DR. JIM and MOON ROCKETS (both 1947), ONCE UPON A HONEYMOON (1956) and ANATOMY OF AN ACCIDENT (1961).
