Robert Peterson


Arizona (1940)
Art director in Hollywood who was nominated for his first film at Columbia, ARIZONA (1940). His associate art director credits include ADVENTURES IN WASHINGTON (1941), COUNTER-ESPIONAGE (1942) and A NIGHT TO REMEMBER (1943). He was also an associate a.d. on some of the "Boston Blackie" films. As art director, alone or in collaboration, his credits include many Columbia "B" movies, as well as THE LAST HURRAH (1958), THE GENE KRUPA STORY (1959), EXPERIMENT IN TERROR (1962), and GIDGET GOES TO ROME (1953). Beginning in 1954, Peterson worked extensively in telvision as art director for episodes of "Captain Midnight", "The Donna Reed Show", "Dennis the Menace", "The Farmer's Daughter", "Bewitched", "The Monkees", "The Young Rebels", "The Partridge Family" and "Police Story" -- as well as several made-for-TV movies. His last project was the television movie "I Dream of Jeannie: 15 Years Later" (1985).
