Anchors Aweigh (1945)
Born in Huntington, IN. Following a period of apprencticeship, he became a lighting cameraman in 1929 at Joseph M. Schenck Productions. During the 1930s he demonstrated his skill with black-and-white cinematography for Fox and other studios and in the 40s and early 50s was behind the camera on many glossy MGM productions, either monochome or color. After retiring from films in 1957 he worked for several years on the TV series "My Three Sons."
