Rey Scott

Scott was a St. Louis journalist who documented his travels through China, stressing both the wide range of cultures as well as the horrific events of the Japanese invasion and the staunch Chinese defense. In addition to producing KUKAN (1941), Scott's only other recorded film credit is camera operator -- uncredited -- on REPORT FROM THE ALEUTIANS (1943) for the U.S. Army Signal Corps (also released by MGM).

 Special Award 1941: "For his extraordinary achievement in producing KUKAN, the film record of China's struggle, including its photography with a 16mm camera under the most difficult and dangerous conditions." Winner presented a Certificate.
