Leo Shuken
(1906 - 1976)

Orchestrator and composer of stock music who entered American film as an uncredited composer for Henry Hathaway's Mae West-Randolph Scott comedy GO WEST YOUNG MAN for Paramount in 1937. He continued to compose film scores for Paramount, usually uncredited, but he did receive credit for such films as MEN WITH WINGS and SING YOU SINNERS (both 1938), I'M FROM MISSOURI, NIGHT WORK and THE FLYING DEUCES (all 1939), HER FIRST BEAU, THE RICHEST MAN IN TOWN and OUR WIFE (all 1940), SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS (1941), THE LADY HAS PLANS, THE ADVENTURES OF MARTIN EDEN, MEET THE STEWARTS and HENRY ALDRICH, EDITOR (all 1942), THE GOOD FELLOWS (1943), THE MIRACLE OF MORGAN'S CREEK and LUCKY COWBOY (both 1944), SOME OF THE BEST (1949), and THOSE REDHEADS FROM SEATTLE (1953).
