Cleopatra (1963)
Born in Covington, KY. A highly skilled cutter whose illustrious Hollywood career spanned five decades, mainly at 20th Century-Fox. Associated with numerous major productions, she collaborated with Ford, Hitchcock, Lubitsch and Kazan, among other directors. In addition to her nominated films she edited the following classic films: FOREIGN CORRESPONDENT (1940); TO BE OR NOT TO BE (1942); HEAVEN CAN WAIT (1943); LIFEBOAT (1944); A TREE GROWS IN BROOKLYN (1945); MY DARLING CLEMENTINE (1946); THE GHOST AND MRS. MUIR (1947); THE SNAKE PIT (1948); THE MAN IN THE GRAY FLANNEL SUIT (1956); A HATFUL OF RAIN (1957); THE YOUNG LIONS (1958); VON RYAN'S EXPRESS (1965); and THE CONCORDE -- AIRPORT '79 (1979).
