Phantom of the Opera (1943)
Art director, production manager, set decorator, assistant director, writer, and associate producer who entered American film in 1935 as art director and production designer at Reliable Pictures (THE LIVE WIRE and MIDNIGHT PHANTOM). Subsequent set decorating credits at Universal, alone or in collaboration, include ARABIAN NIGHTS (1942), HERS TO HOLD and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA (both 1943), and ALI BABA AND THE FORTY THIEVES, FOLLOW THE BOYS, COBRA WOMAN, THE SCARLET CLAW, SOUTH OF DIXIE, GYPSY WILDCAT, RECKLESS AGE and THE CLIMAX (all 1944).

From 1935 to 1956, Webb also worked as an assistant director on such films as NEVER TOO LATE (1935), SANTA FE BOUND (1936), THE ROYAL MOUNTED RIDES AGAIN (1945), 6 westerns in 1947, 4 more westerns in 1948, LITTLE BIG HORN (1951), and GODZILLA, KING OF THE MONSTERS! (1956). From the late 1940s to the mid-1950s, he was an associate producer for a number of westerns at some of Hollywood's independent studios.
