La Cage aux rossignols (1945)

Born in Paris, France, he collaborated on screenplays and dialogue for a number of important French films and directed three flawed but intimately personal films of his own. From 1963, he worked extensively in French television. The story for LA CAGE AUX ROSSIGNOLS was used as the basis for France's 2004 Best Foreign Language Film nominee, LES CHORISTES.  Nominated for Writing (Original Story) 1947: LA CAGE AUX ROSSIGNOLS (w.
