Born in Boston, Mass. Producer of some of the "March of Time" series of short films (his brother Louis de Rochemont preceded him in the job) in 1946 and 1947 for Time-Life Publishers and distributed by 20th Century-Fox. He produced the 26-part "Crusade in Europe" series for television in 1949. Along with the Oscar®-winning short A CHANCE TO LIVE (1949), he also produced two other documentaires: THE GOLDEN TWENTIES and THE HOLY YEAR AT THE VATICAN (both 1950).
