Frances Hubbard Flaherty

Educated at Bryn Mawr; daughter of a noted geologist. Wife of Robert J. Flaherty, who encouraged him and collaborated on several of his films (NANOOK OF THE NORTH, 1922; MOANA, 1926; MAN OF ARAN, 1934; THE LAND, 1942; LOUISIANA STORY, 1948) in various capacities and lectured on his work at universities and film clubs.
