Sayonara (1957)
American cinematographer who entered film at First National-Warner Bros. as uncredited assistant camera to Ernest Haller on THE RICH ARE ALWAYS WITH US (1932). He continued to work as uncredited assistant camera, then camera operator for such films as TARZAN AND HIS MATE (1934), THEY DIED WITH THEIR BOOTS ON (1942), THE TREASURE OF THE SIERRA MADRE, JOHNNY BELINDA and KEY LARGO (all 1948). He began to be credited with JUNE BRIDE (1948).

By 1952, Fredericks was a director of photography, and his credits include such films as SO BIG (1953), INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS, HOLD BACK THE NIGHT and FRIENDLY PERSUASION (all 1956), THE LIGHT IN THE FOREST and MARACAIBO (both 1958), WILD RIVER and HIGH TIME (both 1960), THE STRIPPER (1963), SEVEN DAYS IN MAY (1964), THE YOUNG LOVERS (1965), MISTER BUDDWING (1966), WHERE WERE YOU WHEN THE LIGHTS WENT OUT? and WITH SIX YOU GET EGGROLL (both 1968) and CHARRO! and his last film EYE OF THE CAT (both 1969).
