Born in London, England. Costume designer who entered British film at Gainsborough Pictures in 1947 with Ken Annakin's HOLIDAY CAMP. Other notable non-nominated credits include TRIO (1950), HELL BELOW ZERO (1954), SWISS FAMILY ROBINSON (1960), THE NAKED EDGE (1961), THE CHALK GARDEN and A HARD DAY'S NIGHT (both 1964), HELP! (1965), THE WRONG BOX (1966), CASINO ROYALE and THE WHISPERERS (both 1967), GOODBYE, MR. CHIPS (1969), THE PRIVATE LIFE OF SHERLOCK HOLMES (1970), LIVE AND LET DIE (1973), THE LAND THAT TIME FORGOT and ROLLERBALL (both 1975), THE SLIPPER AND THE ROSE (1976), DRACULA (1979), and her last feature film, THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER (1981). From 1983 until her retirement in 1991, her work was for made-for-television movies and mini-series.
