Born in Los Angeles, CA. Art director who entered American film in 1932 with Henry Hathaway's HERITAGE OF THE DESERT at Paramount. Other non-nominated credits in his 27 years at Paramount include THE GREAT McGINTY and DR. CYCLOPS (both 1940), SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS (1941), WAKE ISLAND (1942), SO PROUDLY WE HAIL! (1943), THE LOST WEEKEND (1945), ROAD TO RIO (1947), SORRY, WRONG NUMBER and THE PALEFACE (both 1948), DETECTIVE STORY (1951), STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND (1955) and TEACHER'S PET (1958). He also worked on NBC's "Bonanza" and "The High Chaparral" TV series.
