A Man Called Peter (1955)

Director of photography who entered American film with HELL DIVERS (1931, uncredited) at MGM. Other notable credits include several of the MGM "Passing Parade" short subjects (1946-47), THE PAINTED HILLS (1951), A MAN CALLED PETER and THE PRIVATE WAR OF MAJOR BENSON (both 1955), FOREVER DARLING, WALK THE PROUD LAND and THE GREAT MAN (all 1956), THE RIVER'S EDGE and PAL JOEY (both 1957), DAMN YANKEES! (1958), THE WILD AND THE INNOCENT (1959), HELLER IN PINK TIGHTS (1960), HELL IS FOR HEROES and THE CHAPMAN REPORT (both 1962), RAMPAGE (1963), NONE BUT THE BRAVE (1965), THE NIGHT OF THE GRIZZLY, ANY WEDNESDAY and LET'S KILL UNCLE (all 1966), and his last film, ASSIGNMENT TO KILL (1968). Lipstein shot several episodes of television's "The Adventures of Ozzie & Harriet" from 1959 to 1961.  Nominated for Cinematography (Color) 1955: A MAN CALLED PETER 1 nomination
