Jean Marsan
(1920 - 1977)

The Sheep Has Five Legs (1954) Writer and actor who entered French film on-camera in INTERDIT AU PUBLIC (1949, "Forbidden to the Public") at Prissoniers Associes. In the early 1950s, Marsan began working mainly as a writer with FEMMES DE PARIS (1953), AVENTURAS DEL BARBERO DE SEVILLA, ZOÉ and LA MOUTON À CINQ PATTES (all 1954). Other notable screen writing credits (alone or in collaboration) include LES FRUITS DE L'ÉTÉ and LES GRANDES MONOEUVRES (both 1955), CE SOIR LES JUPONS VOLENT (1956), THE SEVENTH COMMANDMENT (1957), NI VU, NI CONNU, BE BEAUTIFUL BUT SHUT UP and SUNDAY ENCOUNTER (all 1958), ALL THE GOLD IN THE WORLD (1961), THE SPY I LOVE (1964) and LET'S NOT GET ANGRY (1966). In the early 1970s, Marsan returned to acting for two TV appearances: AU THÉÂTRE CE SOIR: LE DON D'ADÈLE (1972) and AU THÉÂTRE CE SOIR: PÉTRUS (1974)
