Frank R. McKelvy

Set decorator who entered American film at Paramount with WILD HARVEST (1947). His other notable credits at Paramount include STRATEGIC AIR COMMAND and THE SEVEN LITTLE FOYS (both 1955), THE PROUD AND PROFANE (1956), THE TIN STAR (1957), VERTIGO and KING CREOLE (both 1958), NORTH BY NORTHWEST (1959), THE GALLANT HOURS and THE RAT RACE (both 1960), THE MISFITS, THE PLEASURE OF HIS COMPANY and BLUE HAWAII (all 1961) and THE PIGEON THAT TOOK ROME (1962). McKelvy then began to work at other studios, notably Disney and Universal. His subsequent credits include SUMMER MAGIC (1963), THE UGLY DACHSHUND (1966), THE HAPPIEST MILLIONAIRE (1967), THE HORSE IN THE GRAY FLANNEL SUIT (1968), THEY SHOOT HORSES, DON'T THEY? (1969), THE BOATNIKS (1970), THE BAREFOOT EXECUTIVE (1971), CHARLEY AND THE ANGEL (1973), EARTHQUAKE (1974), THE HINDENBURG (1975), GUS (1976), HERBIE GOES TO MONTE CARLO (1977), RETURN FROM WITCH MOUNTAIN (1978) and his last film, THE BLACK HOLE (1979).
