Chester W. Schaeffer

The Well (1951) Born in New York City. First cousin of director William Beaudine (1892-1970). Film editor who entered American film with THE CANTERVILLE GHOST (1944) at MGM. Often associated with the films of writer-director Russell Rouse, Schaeffer's other notable editing credits include THE WELL (1951), THE THIEF (1952), THE DEADLY MANTIS (1957), THE TINGLER (1959), THE BALCONY (1963), A HOUSE IS NOT A HOME (1964) and THE OSCAR (1966).
