Carl S. Anderson
(1904 - 1989)

Art director who started at Columbia with Three Stooges shorts in 1943. Other notable (non-nominated) credits for art direction include THE FOUR POSTER and THE HAPPY TIME (both 1952); MISS SADIE THOMPSON (1953); THE WACKIEST SHIP IN THE ARMY (1960); A RAISIN IN THE SUN (1961); HATARI! (1962); EL DORADO (1967); and THE UNDEFEATED (1969). He worked mainly in television from the early 1970s.
