Pasquale Festa Campanile

Born in Melfi, Italy. After law studies, he worked as a journalist and wrote short stories, novels, and plays. In the early 1950s he began writing screenplays for Italian films, mostly in collaboration with Massimo Franciosa or others. He began directing in the early 60s. His films as director have often dealt with aspects of sensuality. He writes his own scripts, alone or in collaboration. He shared an Oscar® nomination for the original script of Nanni Loy's LE QUATTRO GIORNATE DI NAPOLI / THE FOUR DAYS OF NAPLES (1962).
