Entered British films in the late 1950s as assistant art director and set dresser (OLIVER!, 1968; THE DAY OF THE JACKAL, 1973; BUGSY MALONE, 1976; HISTORY OF THE WORLD, PART I, 1981). Moved up to Art Director, then Production Designer, for such films as A COUNTESS FROM HONG KONG, 1967; THE DEVILS (OF LOUDON), 1971; THE OPTIMISTS, 1973; HANOVER STREET, 1979; LIFEFORCE and NATIONAL LAMPOON'S EUROPEAN VACATION, both 1985. Last credited in 1991 as production designer for the TV movie "Bejewelled".
