Diego Fabbri
(1911 - 1980)

Theatrical caricature by Onorato (1956) Born in Forli, Italy. Started in Italian films in 1942 and continued writing for film, television and theatre until his death in 1980. Among his notable credits (alone or in collaboration) are PASTOR ANGELICUS (1942), LA PORTA DEL CIELO and I DIECI COMANDAMENTI (both 1945), DANIELE CORTIS (1947), FABIOLA (1949), GLI ULTIMI GIORNI DI POMPEI (1950), LES SEPT PÉCHÉS CAPITAUX (1952), MIO FIGLIO NERONE (1956), THE ANGRY AGE and TOTO E MARCELLINO (both 1958), IL GENERALE DELLA ROVERE (1959), ERA NOTTO A ROMA (1960), VIVA L'ITALIA! and BARABBAS (uncredited) (both 1961), I RATELLI CORSI (1962), IL MANGIFICO CORNUTO (1965), PROCESO A JESÚS (1973), IL VIAGGIO (1974), and FROM A FAR COUNTRY (1981). From 1959, Fabbri also wrote extensively for television series, mini-series and made-for-TV movies.
