(1963)
Born in Poppi, Tuscany, Italy. Made a smooth transition from the neorealism of post-WW II Italian cinema to the more flamboyant styles of the 1960s, as with Fellini's 8½ (1963) and many films by Mario Monicelli. Other notable (non-nominated) credits include LE NOTTI DI CABIRIA / NIGHTS OF CABIRIA (1957) and BOCCACCIO '70 (1962).
