William Gibson
(1914 -     )

Born in New York City. He adapted two of his plays (The Miracle Worker and Two for the Seesaw) for the screen. The Miracle Worker has seen several television adaptations as well, and it spawned another Gibson play, Monday After the Miracle, which he adapted for television in 1998. He wrote the screenplay for GOLDA'S BALCONY (2007), which features Valerie Harper as Golda Meir. Also in 2007, Two for the Seesaw was adapted by Jean-Loup Dabadie for "Deux sur la balançoire" for French television.
