Born in Hammersmith, London, England. Worked as color consultant on TOM JONES (1963) and was costume designer or production designer on a number of subsequent British films, sometimes coming to the US: OTHELLO (1965), ISADORA (1968), IF... (1968), Tony Richardson's HAMLET (1969), NED KELLY (1970), O LUCKY MAN!
