Joseph Janni

Born Giuseppe Ralph Janni in Milan, Italy; educated at Milan University & Centro Sperimentale (Rome). In the UK from 1939, he entered films in 1941 and formed his own production company in 1947. He produced a number of notable British films, including BILLY LIAR (1963), DARLING (1965), MODESTY BLAISE (1966), FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD (1967), SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY (1971) and YANKS (1979).
