Glynis Johns

Born in Durban, South Africa. Husky-voiced daughter of actor Mervyn Johns who made her London stage bow in 1935 and her screen debut three years later (MURDER IN THE FAMILY). Her spirited personality has enlivened a number of comedies. In 1963 she starred in her own US-made TV series "Glynis." A familiar face on the New York stage since the early 50s, she scored a hit and won a Tony® for her performance in the 1973 Broadway production of A Little Night Music.
