Biography from various sources

Born in Paris, France; educated at the Collège Sainte-Barbe. French director who emerged in the 1960s, scoring a popular international success with the romantic melodrama, UN HOMME ET UNE FEMME / A MAN AND A WOMAN (1966), which he wrote (with his writing partner, Pierre Uytterhoeven), produced, shot and edited.
