Notable credits inlcude LOST CONTINENT (1951), MOBY DICK and FRIENDLY PERSUASION (both 1956), THE HORSE SOLDIERS and THE REBEL SET (both 1959), THE LAST VOYAGE (1960), THE LONGEST DAY (1962), MAJOR DUNDEE (1965), THE BIBLE (1966), BARBARELLA (1968, supervisor), THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR (1975), THE SHOOTIST and MURDER BY DEATH (both 1976), THE CHEAP DETECTIVE and CALIFORNIA SUITE (1978), and WINTER KILLS and THE ELECTRIC HORSEMAN (both 1979).
