Maurice Pelling

Entered British film as an uncredited draughtsman for THE MAN FROM MOROCCO (1945). Other art department credits include NIGHT BOAT TO DUBLIN (1946), QUARTET (1948), THE DARK AVENGER (1955), CARVE HER NAME WITH PRIDE (1958), SINK THE BISMARCK! and PEEPING TOM (both 1960), GOLDFINGER (1964 asst. art director), ROTTEN TO THE CORE (1965, a.a.d.), DOCTOR IN CLOVER (a.a.d.) and DALEKS' INVASION EARTH: 2150 A.D. (set decorator) (both 1966), and SOME WILL, SOME WON'T (1970).

Art director credits include NO ORCHIDS FOR MISS BLANDISH (1948), STRANGER IN TOWN (1957), NUDIST PARADISE, STORMY CROSSING and SEA OF SAND (all 1958), A CIRCLE OF DECEPTION (1960), CLEOPATRA and SILENT PLAYGROUND (both 1963), BERSERK! and PLAY DIRTY (both 1968), JULIUS CAESAR (1970), and CHARLEY ONE-EYE (1973). Pelling was production designer for the 1972 production of ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA.
