Eleanor Perry

The late wife of writer-director Frank Perry. She contributed the screenplays for his films until their professional and legal separation in 1970: DAVID AND LISA and LADYBUG LADYBUG (both 1962), THE SWIMMER (1968) and DIARY OF A MAD HOUSEWIFE (1970). They were divorced the following year. On her own, she adapted Marilyn Durham's novel and produced (w. Martin Poll) THE MAN WHO LOVED CAT DANCING (1973). She died of cancer in 1981.
