Born in Omaha, NE. Nominated for his first two produced screenplay collaborations. Other notable credits include ALL IN A NIGHT'S WORK and COME SEPTEMBER (both 1961), SOLDIER IN THE RAIN (1963), THE PINK PANTHER (1964), WHAT DID YOU DO IN THE WAR, DADDY? (1966, story), DON'T MAKE WAVES (1967), and FOR PETE'S SAKE (1974). Richlin also wrote occasionally for television.
