Joseph Schmit

Biography from Entertainment Insiders

A chemical engineer, Schmit held a variety of positions with various companies during his career. In addition to being part of the team that developed Technicolor's wet printing equipment, he was also an expert on Technicolor's dye transfer process used in films like Cecil B. Demille's THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. Schmit served his country as an officer in the Naval Reserve during WWII where he saw combat action in the South Pacific.
