Don Bassman

Veteran Hollywood sound man who started with VALLEY OF THE DOLLS in 1967. His many credits include (as sound recordist and/or mixer) THE BOSTON STRANGLER (1968), THE MEPHISTO WALTZ (1971), THE OTHER and CONQUEST OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (both 1972), BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (1973) and THE BOYS FROM BRAZIL (1978, supervising sound mixer); as re-recording mixer -- THE SEVEN-UPS (1973), W.W. AND THE DIXIE DANCE KINGS (1975), LOVE AT FIRST BITE and H.O.T.S. (both 1979), THE MAN WITH ONE RED SHOE (1985), COMMANDO (1985), HIGHLANDER, LUCAS, BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA and JUMPIN' JACK FLASH (all 1986), PREDATOR (1987) and ALIEN NATION (1988). His last film was THE HUNT FOR RED OCTOBER.
