Born in New York City. Started cutting Hopalong Cassidy westerns at U-A in 1943. Founding member of the American Cinema Editors (ACE). Edited 25 features, of which THE HOT ROCK was the last. Then, moved back to television in 1972, editing episodes of TV series: "M*A*S*H," "Eight Is Enough," "Dallas" and "Walker, Texas Ranger" and the 1996 made-for-TV movie "Dallas: J.R. Returns." Served on the AMPAS Board of Governors 1978-1980.
