Began writing for Italian productions, alone or in collaboration, in 1966 with THE BIBLE: IN THE BEGINNING. Other notable credits include BARBARELLA (1968), WATERLOO and IL GIARDINO DEI FINZI-CONTINI (both 1970), COME UNA ROSA AL NASO (1976), LE ALI DELLA COLOMBA (1981), L'INCHIESTA / THE INQUIRY (1987), and UNA VITA SCELLERATA / A VIOLENT LIFE (1990).
