After breaking into the business as assistant to director Alan J. Pakula on THE PARALLAX VIEW (1974), Boorstin began to work as an associate producer (ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN, 1976) and producer (DREAM LOVER, 1986, the 1991 revival of the TV series "Dark Shadows", and the 2006 TV series "Three Moons Over Milford"). As a screenwriter, his credits include (alone or in collaboration) DREAM LOVER, "Dark Shadows" (1991), THE DISCOVERERS (1993), the 1994 TV series "Hawkeye," and the 1997 German film, FÜR IMMER UND IMMER / FOR EVER AND EVER.
