Production designer who started in American films as art director for CHINATOWN. Other notable credits include SHAMPOO and THE FORTUNE (both 1975), JAWS 2 (1978), URBAN COWBOY (1980), TRUE CONFESSIONS (1981), SHOOT THE MOON (1982), THE RIGHT STUFF (1983) and BIRDY (1984). He then started working primarily as a production designer for made-for-TV movies and mini-series, including "Raid on Entebbe" (1977). Feature production design credits include THE RETURN OF A MAN CALLED HORSE (1976), INDEPENDENCE DAY (1983), MAC AND ME (1988), THE UNKNOWN CYCLIST (1998), and FELLINI'S DONUT (2005). Recently, much of his work shows late at night on the SHOWTIME cable network.
