Born in Illinois, USA. Hollywood set decorator who started in films with ONE IS A LONELY NUMBER (1972). Other notable credits include ZANDY'S BRIDE and BANK SHOT (both 1974), SHAMPOO (1975), ALL THE PRESIDENT'S MEN and MARATHON MAN (both 1976), COMING HOME, HEAVEN CAN WAIT and AMERICAN HOT WAX (all 1978), SKATETOWN, U.S.A. and PROPHESY (both 1979), AMERICAN GIGOLO and THE HUNTER (both 1980), PARTNERS (1982), BREATHLESS, THE BIG CHILL and UNCOMMON VALOR (all 1983), CITY HEAT and THE COTTON CLUB (both 1984), MAXIE (1985), and his last film, RUNNING SCARED (1986). Television credits include "The Blue Knight" (made-for-TV, 1973) and the series "Columbo" and "Cheers" (1983 Emmy® nomination).
