Doug Jackson

Born in Montréal, Québec, Canada. Documentary filmmaker whose credits include BENOÎT (1965, producer/director), PRE-RELEASE (1966, producer), BLAKE (1969, producer/director) and NORMAN JEWISON, FILMMAKER (1971, producer). He also directed and wrote THE HEATWAVE LASTED FOUR DAYS (1974).

1980s feature directing credits include BAMBINGER (1984), UNCLE T (1985), and WHISPERS (1989). In the 1990s, he directed THE PAPER BOY and STALKED (both 1994), THE WRONG WOMAN (1995), MIDNIGHT IN SAINT PETERSBURG (1996), DEAD END and RANDOM ENCOUNTER (both 1998), and REQUIEM FOR MURDER and THE WITNESS FILES (both 1999). Most recent credits include NOWHERE IN SIGHT (2000), THE GHOST (2001), AFTERMATH (2002), and A LOVER'S REVENGE (2005). Since 1985, Jackson has also directed extensively for television.
