Born in Glendale, CA. Eastman worked as a ballet dancer, model and actress before she took up screenwriting in the 1960s and adopted the pen name Adrien Joyce. Her screenwriting credits, alone or in collaboration, include two episodes of "Run for Your Life" (1966, TV), THE SHOOTING (1967), FIVE EASY PIECES and PUZZLE OF A DOWNFALL CHILD (both 1970), THE FORTUNE (1975), and MAN TROUBLE (also producer) and "Running Mates" (TV) (both 1992).
