Sound recordist, then sound mixer for Hollywood films. Began in television in 1952 with the TV series "The Adventures of Superman." First feature film was APACHE WOMAN (1955) for Roger Corman. Then moved to American-International and worked "B" features (BLOOD OF DRACULA, 1957; TEENAGE CAVE MAN, 1958; HOW TO MAKE A MONSTER, 1958; et al.). First "A" picture was HUSH... HUSH, SWEET CHARLOTTE (1964) for 20th Century-Fox. Other notable (non-nominated) credits include PLANET OF THE APES and BANDOLERO! (both 1968), CONQUEST OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (1972), BATTLE FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (1973), THE SWARM (1978), BEYOND THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE (1979), WHEN TIME RAN OUT (1980) and his last project, the made-for-TV movie "Family in Blue" (1982).
