Born in the Bronx, NY. After starting out as an uncredited editor of the montage of pool scenes in THE HUSTLER (1961), he began editing features in the early 1970s. Notable credits include THE PANIC IN NEEDLE PARK (1971), THE EFFECT OF GAMMA RAYS... (1972), SCARECROW (1973), THE SEDUCTION OF JOE TYNAN (1979), HONEYSUCKLE ROSE (1980), ROLLOVER (1981), SOPHIE'S CHOICE (1982) and THE MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTAN (1984).
