Born in Kingston, Surrey, England. Art director in US/UK films from 1953. Notable credits include JASON AND THE ARGONAUTS (1963), BATTLE OF BRITAIN (1969), DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (1971), PAPILLON (1973), BUFFALO BILL AND THE INDIANS, OR SITTING BULL'S HISTORY LESSON (1976), THE DEEP (1977) and his last film, WARLORDS OF ATLANTIS (1978).
