Born in Salerno, Italy. Italian screenwriter of over 50 stories and screenplays whose screen credits, alone or in collaboration, include 5 BRANDED WOMEN (1960), THE BANDIT and THE BATTLE OF NERETVA (both 1969), INVESTIGATION OF A CITIZEN ABOVE SUSPICION and THE GARDEN OF THE FINZI-CONTINIS (both 1970), BLOOD BROTHERS (1973), GOODNIGHT, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN (1978), THE RETURN (1979), TABLOID CRIME (1987), and CELLULOID and THE NYMPH (both 1996).
